Following years of dance and drama training and performance opportunities including aboard the MSC Opera cruise liner and the ‘Young Performer’s showcase’ at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Ainsley gained her first class degree in Dance and Drama at Liverpool Hope University. Whilst studying, she worked on the production team of the Liverpool Empire Youth Learning department on productions including ‘Legally Blonde’ and ‘West Side Story’.  

She then moved to the Midlands to complete her Masters degree in Shakespeare and Theatre in Stratford Upon Avon. Since moving to the area, she has been involved with local companies in both a performance capacity as well as working on the production teams, including the Shakespeare Institute Players, the Ketterer’s Men and the RSC Outdoor Dell Season. She was Head of the Young Academy with The Academy of Performing Arts for 5 years and most recently has been working with Stratford Musical Theatre Company on their youth productions of ‘Matilda’ and ‘We Will Rock You’. 

During the day, Ainsley is a Secondary school English teacher but her passion has always been for musical theatre. She is therefore very excited to work with the talented company at Spa Theatre Company.
