What does being a Spa Theatre Junior member involve?

Spa Theatre is different as we are a teaching organisation. Our mission is to enable children aged 8-17 to learn new skills and develop their talents in the performing arts, whilst giving them the opportunity to perform in a professional theatre and experience the true ‘spit and sawdust’ of a real live production!  Each member is taught a mixture of music, dance, mime, speech and drama skills all within an environment based on trust, care, equality, commitment and mutual respect.

Each year we deliver a fantastic show at a local professional theatre which invites everyone in the local area to visit and enjoy.  The shows always attract large audiences, are delivered to a high standard and are well received.

Why should I choose Spa Theatre Company?

The company has been delivering excellent theatrical skills and experiences to young people for over 41 years.  It was the first theatre group for young people in Leamington Spa. The dedication of the committee, members and parents make this a welcoming, fun and rewarding theatre group to be part of.

Child protection

The company is covered by all relevant legal, safety and insurance regulations and requirements, ensuring that your child is safe during all sessions and show performances.

How does my child become a Junior member?

Complete our application form.  We will then invite you to bring your child to an audition in September 2025. If your child is successful at audition, they will be invited to become a member of the Company.  All Company members will perform on stage in the show.    Please check your spam folder for an email from anoushka.sheehan@spatheatre.com.

Fees

Our fees are based on an academic year, and consist of three termly payments per year, irrespective of the number of rehearsal sessions in that term.

Our fees for the academic year of 2024/25 are:
  • £120 per term for the first child;
  • £96 per term for the second child;
  • £84 per term for the third or subsequent children.

Included within your fees is a Company T-shirt which your child will be expected to wear during rehearsals.

Fees are payable termly by standing order at the beginning of each term.

How do you keep your fees so low?

Spa Theatre Company is a Registered Charity which is run by a group of passionate and dedicated volunteers, allowing us to keep our costs low, therefore membership fees are extremely competitive.  Our charges are approximately 50% lower than other local and national youth theatre groups.
