Spa Theatre Juniors are performing High School Musical By Disney, On Stage Version 15 - 17 June 2017 at The Loft Theatre, Leamington Spa.
After a near sell-out show last year with ‘Into the Woods’, Spa Theatre Company return with the stage production of ‘High School Musical’. The enthusiasm and talent already on show at the company is easily confirming that this year’s show will be a smash hit with an audience of all ages.
High School Musical on Stage! is a musical based on the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical. The story follows the Jocks, Thespians, Brainiacs and Skater Dudes as the tackle life at high school.
Laura Simmons, Director comments, “The show was chosen due to there being several main parts for both boys and girls and large company involvement in singing and dancing.”
Laura has a strong theatrical background and has been involved with shows such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell, Sweeney Todd, Oliver and most recently Legally Blonde. Along with experienced Musical Director Charles Withall and multi-talented Choreographer Rachel Davis – this years’ production team are set to deliver another summer hit.
Laura continues, “I am really looking forward to High School Musical, it’s going to be a spectacular show!”
Almost iconic, the show has been referred to as the modern day Grease. Big shoes to fill, but our Spa Theatre Company Juniors are flying through rehearsals with energy and passion.
