When Ren McCormack’s mother loses her job - his father having walked out on them some years before - they are forced to leave Chicago and move to the small town of Bomont. But Bomont is town a with a difference. As the result of a tragic road accident in which a number of the town’s young people died, dancing and listening to rock ’n’ roll music have been made illegal. Unable to accept this state of affairs,

Ren soon finds himself at odds with the townsfolk and in particular church minister, Shaw Moore, whose son was one of those killed in the crash. With the help of Shaw’s rebellious daughter, Ariel, and friends Willard and Rusty he sets out to make the town change its mind.

Based on the 1984 hit movie, the show features numbers such as Holding On For A Hero, I Can’t Stand Still, Let’s Hear It For The Boy, and of course Footloose.
